It's Black Restaurant Week in Shreveport and we couldn't be more excited!
Many people consider NOLA to be the best place to eat in Louisiana. I'm no food critic, but I do love (and know) good food and I must say that Shreveport - Bossier is full of amazing eats.
I love that we are taking time to highlight these restaurants that might not always get the same publicity as others. While I always do my best to patronize Black-Owned Businesses, I didn't even know of some of the places that are participating.
Participating restaurants will offer $10 lunch and $20 dinner specials all week (That's a steal right?!). You don't have to mention Black Restaurant Week to receive the special, all you have to do is order. While the specials are amazing choices, the full menu is still being served so if the special doesn't speak to you, feel free to order anything else.
Some restaurants are even offering nighttime dining experiences. I'm a sucker for events as such. I love entering a place where you can tell the host worked hard to create the perfect ambiance. Take that space, add delicious chef-crafted meals, live music, drinks, and friends and you're coming up on a great event.
This week has afforded me the opportunity to eat delicious meals for less than I would normally spend and also uncovered some true gems! I still got to indulge in some of my fangirl favs and I've added to the list!
